Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello to all PP out there,

Is it possible for us to develop a thread for PP parlance. Maybe some are not familiar with the acronyms used in PP.

For example:

IMHO,BTW,FWIW and some i will come to know as i review the previous threads.

My understanding: IMHO-I Manage Head Office, BTW-Batman to World, FWIW-For Window Interface Window. I know 100% im wrong.

I only know PP-Planning Planet

I discover one: WP for Wedding Planners.

Cheers,

Hi,

Other acronyms:
AAMOF = as a matter of fact
BBFN = bye bye for now
CMIIW = correct me if I’m wrong
WYSIWYG = what you see is what you get
IMNSHO = in my not so humble opinion

and Emoticons:
:-D = jovial happiness
:-Q = confusion
:-@ = shock / screaming
:-S = loss of words

Cheers!!!

Hello Bernard,

Thanks a lot.

At least, now im not ignorant on what those acronyms stand for.

I think I use also some abbreviation in some of my thread: PMT stand for Project Management Team.

Cheers,

Charlie

Those acronyms are not specific to the Planning Planet. They were born long ago on the original Usenet (first internet forum). Just type any of them into your favorite search engine and you will find glossary pages in abundance.

IMHO = In My Humble Opinion
IMO = In My Opinion
AFAIK = As Far As I Know
BTW = By The Way
FWIW = For What Its Worth
YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary
