Lead Planning Engineer / Shutdown Planning Engineer, M.S. Al-Suwaidi Industrial Services, Various Project in Saudi Arabia

As the Project Engineer for Planning, I was tasked to develop a Detailed Construction Schedule complete with Resource loading for the following projects:

 

 

 

  • Rabigh Power Plant Phase IV (Fluor Daniel Arabia Ltd.) – June 1996 to Dec. 1996;
  •  

     

     

     

  • Sabayek Ferro Alloys Plant (BHP Australia) – April 1995 to Dec. 1995;
  •  

     

     

     

  • Ibn Sina Seawater Pit and Pipelines (Fluor Daniel Arabia) - Sept. 1992 to March 1993;
  •  

     

    Being a Shutdown Scheduler, I was involved on the following projects that require shutdowns for modifications, tie-ins and installation of new equipment.

     

     

     

  • Sadaf Ethylene Plant Expansion (Brown & Root Saudi Arabia Ltd.) – Jan. 1996 to May 1996;
  •  

     

     

     

  • Upgrade North Abqaiq NGL Plants (Saudi Aramco) – April 1993 to March 1995;
  •  

     

    Apart from the progress reports, it was also my responsibility to supervise, coordinate works in the Planning & Cost Section of these projects while assisting the Contract Manager on Change Order and Claims preparation. It was also my duty to advise the Project Manager on Recovery Options for detected Slippage and on impact on the Scope of Work. At one point while the Project Superintendent was on vacation, I was tasked to stand-in for him during the period he was out.
