As Sr. Planning Engineer:

Overall leadership on the activities, duties, responsibilities and performance of all the Planning Engineers assigned to each Construction site. Responsible for the development of the assigned project’s Level-4 MEP Construction Schedule. Supervise the schedule development and maintenance on all other project site. Develop and maintain forms, spreadsheet, calendars, activity codes & activity ID coding system for new projects and later on was used as Company standards (like Daily Activity Reports, Weekly Progress Reports, etc.). Supervision / preparation of delay notices, Detailed Particulars & Impacted Program for EOT Claim (Extension of Time), using Impacted As-planned & Time Impact Analysis (TIA) methods. Develop & maintain a process of weekly updating the Construction Schedule and progress of the project. Provide supervision and training to incoming & Junior Planning Engineers.

• Project: UAE University New Campus PPP Development Project
Location: Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Proj. Abstract: Dh1.5 billion construction package project (USD 409 million). Company scope includes Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) works of 37 buildings; sub-contract to OGER ABU DHABI.

Supervision / review / preparation of Level-4 MEP Construction Schedule (Detailed Program of Works), in Primavera 6.1 or 3.1 format, ranging from 7,000 to 33,000 MEP activities & required Main Contractor activity predecessors, including resource and cost loading of the same for the following projects:

• Project: Shuweihat Housing Complex for Families Phase-2 Project
Location: Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Client: Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA)
Proj. Abstract: MEP construction works of 196 villas & External works; sub-contract to Force 10.

• Project: Jumeirah Village Circle Villas & Townhouses Project
Location: Dubai, UAE
Client: Nakheel Properties
Proj. Abstract: MEP construction works of 613 villas & townhouses; sub-contract to Al Meraikhi General Contracting.

As Planning Engineer:

Prepare and update the weekly & monthly progress curves & manpower histograms. Prepare Daily Construction Report which contains the manpower, tools/equipment, activities & materials delivered for the day. Act as Quantity Surveyor responsible for preparation/submission of monthly Materials-On-Site (MOS) & the necessary documentations. Assists in the preparation of Monthly Project Invoice and Sub-contractors Monthly billing. Aside from the aforesaid functions, I was also in-charged in dealing with labor suppliers about manpower requirements at site, and supervising the timekeeping process of the project.
Some of my major accomplishments were that I initiated the use of time clock / punch clock for laborers and improved the efficiency and accuracy of time recording and timesheet processing of the project by developing a system on how every detail is being done, which was later adopted in other on-going projects and new projects of the company.
