MMG KSA Project Controls Engineer

October, 2007 • Preparation of Daily, Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports for the disciplines such as Structural, Piping, Electrical & Insulation.
• Participating in Weekly and Monthly Progress meetings with the client Project Manager/ Engineers.
• Preparation of Progress monitoring Tools and Work Breakdown Schedule. Assigning Work responsibilities including Equipment & Manpower allocation.
• Co-Ordination with All Discipline heads and Head Quarters to arrive at prompt decisions and minimizing delays /solving problems. Also interaction with vendors for timely arrival of materials.
• Preparation of Project Schedule, S-curve and critical Path Analysis. Resource planning for the Project includes Manpower, Tools & Tackles and Consumables.
• Estimation of Cost & Budgeting. Also Involved in Technical review of Sub Contractor /Vendor Monthly Invoices.
• Providing appropriate feedback on work progress and performance, productivity, manpower and schedule variances for inclusion in overall Project status.
• Preparing incremental progress plan to complete the back log activities & ensure the project completion to the baseline plan.
• Working closely with Field Sub Contract Administrators to ensure the work of subcontractors is properly planned and accurate progress quantities are established and verified for accurate progress billing along with preparation of check estimates for subcontractor scope changes or claims.
• Maintaining all the records for the additional works, change orders & variation orders for the final claims.
• Cost control & monitoring the key areas to concentrate for cost control to give a better solution for ensuring the successful completion of the project & company profits.
• Monitoring the activities of fabrication shop to ensure the material supply to the project as per the schedule and updating the material delivery status in the schedule.
• Specifically analyzing the areas of issues & concerns for delays & reporting to the project manager.
• Ensure that necessary resources are available for carrying out the planned activities by closely coordinating with the Material Procurement, Construction and Field Engineering.
• Monitoring day-to-day site activities, manpower and equipment and keeping the Project Manager updated on these issues.
