Overseeing all planning and cost control issues relating to projects with values between $19 million and $1,295 million for Khursaniyah Gas Plant, the Hawiyah NGL Recovery project, the Berri Gas Plant Cogeneration project, the Haradh Gas Plant project, the Hawiyah Gas Plant Project and the Yanpet II Ethylene Expansion project; having the following responsibilities:

• Evaluating project documentation in the early stages, developing a chart of accounts and preparing a project budget for approval in accordance with company policy

• Analysing any variations to contracts and budgets, advising the project teams, providing cost allocations to support production of a cost report and finalising the costs and breakdown of the projects construction packages

• Updating and monitoring all cost control programmes at each stage of the project lifecycle and producing regular cost reports including commitments and expenditure forecasts

• Verifying the integrity and accuracy of cost reports and monitoring data, checking actual performance against budget, preparing productivity performance reports and advising the management team of any variations and remedial actions required

• Assisting with the preparation of planning schedules for construction, establishing priorities of work to fulfil the agreed schedules and producing an overall programme of work using network CPM

• Conducting regular site visits, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance with plans and monitoring systems and providing support or technical advice to resolve any problems

• Supporting the tendering process, ensuring the correct assessment of all activities and issues and that all costs and lead times are realistic and achievable

• Assessing related documentation at the project outset, developing detailed plans, schedules and costings and supporting the overall coordination and implementation of project resources

• Delivering training and support to other members of the team in the use of Project Monitoring and Planning Systems and the interpretation of relevant data

• Maintaining the construction schedule based on progress, resolving critical issues, analysing resources and producing weekly project progress reports

• Establishing and implementing an in-house progress monitoring system for all project activities, analysing any delays and highlighting any areas of concern

• Communicating effectively on all aspects of planning and budgeting, assigning responsibilities and ensuring a full understanding of the importance of project monitoring in line with company procedures

• Consulting with project management on the proposed weight factoring calculations to be used in progress monitoring ensuring compliance with company policy and procedures at all times
