Alstec Ltd Project Engineer

In this role I was engaged to initiate, develop and implement small to medium scale projects (up to circa £400k). This involved developing the initial scope of work, engineering the project, implementation and finally closeout. I would oversee all aspects of the project works to ensure health and safety of all persons involved, as well as adherence to quality, programme and managed budget. The whole project lifecycle would involve creating good working relationships with many different people, departments and various sub-contractors.

British Energy / Morson International Planner

Based at Sizewell ’B’ nuclear power station working as part of the station refuelling outage management group, this role involved developing resource plans for the FMA contract refuelling outage work scope, allocating resources and disciplines, specifying quantities, developing histograms, reviewing plan logic and resolving issues arising from work scope reviews. These areas were all developed using the Artemis 9000 planning software.

British Energy / Morson International Senior Planner

Following the successful period as a contract partner outage planner, I joined the station outage planning team and took on the role of Refuelling & Radwaste project planner, replacing an experienced senior planner who had planned the refuelling scope for the previous nine outages. The role involves planning (using Primavera P6 software) throughout an 18 month cycle, culminating with the high intensity refuelling outage period.
