In charge of 17 MSc and Specialised Masters, the MBA in Strategy, Programme & Project Management, and Head of PhD. in Strategy, Programme and Project Management and Research Centre in P3M.

 

2002 – 2004: Director of Postgraduate Programmes, member of ESC Lille Board of Directors

In charge of 17 MSc and Specialised Masters, the MBA in Strategy, Programme & Project Management, and the PhD. in Strategy, Programme and Project Management.

 

1992 – 2004: Director Higher Institute of Industrial Management (ISGI)

In charge of 3 MSc programmes: Project and Programme Management, Performance Management and Organisation, Supply Chain Management.

 

While the above positions involved many dimensions, the main realisations, in the different roles held above, can be summarised as follows:

 

-        Accreditations of the Project, Programme, and Project Portfolio Management (P3M) programmes: 1994: integration of courses preparing to AFITEP(then French PM Association) project management certification and to International Project Management Association (IPMA)level D certification; 2001: Project Management Institute Registered Education Provider (PMI REP); 2005: Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Centre (PMI GAC) accreditation(PhD, MBA, Specialized Master & MSc); 2007: Association for the Advancement  of Cost Engineering International (AACE International)’s Approved Education Provider (AEP)Program; 2007: PRINCE2 & MSP Approved Training Organisation (ATO, APMG-International); 2008: Association fro Project Management (APM) academic accreditation(PhD, MBA, Specialized Master & MSc); 2008: Global Alliance for Project Performance Standards (GAPPS)endorsed provider. ESC Lille was the first Business School outside North America, and the fourth worldwide, to have its P3M programmes (MSc, Specialised Masters, MBA and PhD) accredited by PMI GACin 2005. Furthermore these programmes have been accredited by APM(academic accreditation) in 2008, being the first one outside the UK to get this recognition;

-        Concurrently with the accreditations, development of a pool of experts (mostly former students of the various P3M programmes) becoming accredited trainers PRINCE2 & MSP, as well as PMI trainers;

-        Transfer of the business model and know-how to the other MSc and Specialised Masters. For instance, Chartered Institute for Management Accounting (CIMA)accreditations, and Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA)accreditations became part of the Management Control, and Financial Management programmes. Similarly in Total Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management…;

-        Creation of the MBA (2001) and the PhD (2002) programmes;

-        On the basis of the MSc (1997) and PhD programmes (2002), development of corporate programmes in conjunction with THALES (and THALES CORPORATE UNIVERSITY) & DASSAULT, for their Gulf Countries clients;

-        Creation of the first International Project & Programme Management Week (IPPMW, 2001) welcoming in Lille each year in August about 120 international experts and researchers in P3M, along with international students (for instance IPMA Young Crews). This international event, a refreshing landmark for the international community, became the first EDEN doctoral seminarin Project Management in 2008 (accredited by the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM)). This event was run in partnership with the International Centre of Complex Project Management (ICCPM)after 2010. The EDEN doctoral seminarsin Project Management are still running in Lille;

-        The students’ numbers in the P3M (MSc, Specialized Masters, MBA and PhD programmes) increased from 25 in 1992 to 350 in 2009 (about 10% of total ESC Lille students and 50% of the postgraduate students), with international students (non-French) representing about 80% of the total and about 30 nationalities.

University Chair, Professor of Project Management & Economics

 

Reengineering of 4 project management courses (MSc and MBA) and joint delivery both at UTS and in Lille by the same faculty. Negotiation of a double degrees and students exchanges agreement. Creation of the professional doctorate in project management at UTS (Doctor of Project Management).

Visiting Professor, Project and Programme Management

 

Development of a Team Certificate Programmeinvolving project-based experiential learning. The participants to the programme were working on a real project of their companies, as a team including suppliers and clients, as well as regular students in engineering from University of Washington and in Business from ESC Lille.
