A global producer of copper and silver with over 50 years of experience. Copper production - output of about 700 thousand tons annually. KGHM has got one of the largest copper deposits in the world and we have guaranteed continued production in Poland for the next 40 years. The assets are located in three continents. They have development projects in Poland, Canada, Chile and Greenland. Additional products are: copper cathodes, silver, gold, lead and rhenium.

 

Tomasz Andreasik was responsible, as external consultant & project manager, for preparation of full project/portfolio management implementation.

 

Main responsibilities:

·         redesigning all of the development-investments processes

·         preparing dedicated portfolio methodology which includes selection, evaluation, prioritization, evaluation and management processes

·         established system of portfolios (portfolio of 17 sub-portfolios)

·         preparing top managers to use the methodology & processes (approx. 60 p.)

·         preparing dedicated project management methodology including processes like: defining, scheduling, budgeting, managing schedule, managing scope & change, managing risks, managing quality, reporting

·         delivered training for approx. 1.300 project managers involved in projects (investments & organizational)

·         delivered training for 100 project sponsors

·         delivered training for approx. 1.500 project workers

·         delivered consulting services for project managers & sponsors as support with defining and scheduling projects

·         preparing dedicated PMO management methodology including processes like: support services, control & audit services, people development services & reporting services

·         delivered training for 40 PMO members

·         deployment of 11 PMOs.

·         support by production-strategy development using own strategy approach.

·         Applying KPIs procedures to monitor the portfolio and component projects performance.

The value of the supported projects was over $6100M (5 years perspective).
