On leaving Raytheon, I set up a consultancy company, the focus being to provide the infrastructure to enable organisations and projects to make effective decision based on good Project Management information. Utilising the skills within the Darbus organisation around People, Process and Toolsets.

People – Ensuring that people involved with PMO systems understand how to utilise these systems, through training and mentoring.

Process – To define and implement appropriate sets of processes that match an organisation and still adhere to any of the international EVM standards.  To train the people involved in these process and support the culture change.

Toolset – To provide an independent review of the current tools being used, and make recommendations as to the most appropriate way forward.  Darbus Ltd also have key resources that can provide implementation and execution support for the following toolsets:

Magnox South

To design and implementation of the Project Controls Toolset and associated processes to support internal and external reporting requirements.  This also involved the integration with P6 and Aggresso data. In order to do this effectively, we needed to identify the changes that were required across the Project Controls Environment (Planning, Baseline control, Change Management and Cost collection) and support these changes.

Forceprotection

To design and implement a full Project Controls system for the organisation, including all documentation and process definition.

LLDC (Mace)

To provide a Project Controls Review, identify issues and solutions and also design and implement the COBRA toolset solution.

Thales Rail

To design and implement the Project Controls System, provide all training documentation and on site toolset/process support. To support management in the decision making process using the provided EVM data.

BBMV

To design and implement the COBRA toolset and integrate this into existing processes, including all training and documentation.

TVO (Finland)

To design and implement the pilot for the toolset solution, and to integrate the contractors information into a strategic management system.  Design and Document the strategic Project Control System processes for the customer.

Morgan Sindall Heathrow

To design and implement the Project Controls toolset solution to support the customers Project Controls Requirements.
