Project Planning Engineer, SSE Renewables., Offshore and Onshore Windfarm Projects

Work with Project Managers and Project teams to develop and maintain detailed, integrated and resourced master programmes  reflecting all project activities with relevant key dates and milestones to aid analysis and reporting.

Monitor and report overall project progress status, achievement of milestones and analyse project performance in relation to planned performance.

Assess and communicate schedule impact of project change control notifications and schedule impact of progress.

Coordinate and support the planning activities of project team to raise their awareness, knowledge and competence in the planning techniques and procedures required during detailed planning and execution stages of the project.

Liaise with contractors and sub contractors as required to ensure correct standards of programme preparation and  reporting are maintained in accordance withr contract requirements and SSE standards;

Participate in project interactive planning sessions, risk assessments, progress meetings/calls, budget and forecast reviews, project compliance reviews, project close out meetings, risk workshops and lessons learned

Assist the Procurement department in specifying contract programme and progess  reporting    requirements.

Keep up to date with applicable legislation and company management system requirements;

Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements in the planning and forecasting of project activities to benefit programme performance;
