Position: Lead Project Planning Engineer

  • Produce and monitor project plans during design, procurement, construction (M&E, E&I) and commissioning stages of assigned projects using Primavera, MS Project and Asta power project, with multiple contractors, multiple suppliers and multiple sequential projects (STATOIL - Oil Refinery - Norway; SEEF- Petroleum - Qatar; LISCO - Thermal Power Station - Libya; PETROINEOS - Grangemouth Refinery - United Kingdom, etc)
  • Responsible for project planning and management – Manage projects throughout the entire project lifecycle; including project planning, initiation/proposals, project delivery, commissioning , business liaison / stakeholder management, post implementation review and project close out / handover. Prepare tenders and construction programmes
  • Maintenance of the overall project schedule at all levels (from front end engineering design, to EPC - M&E, Electrical and Instrumentation, through to commissioning) to ensure optimization of resources and control of all associated project work.
  • Prepare, manage and maintain the overall EPC master project schedule using critical path network format in Primavera for each project area and utilizing the project approved Work Breakdown Structure in line with company standards and the project structure.

·         Monitor program continually against performance and Incorporate program variations and assist in the analysis of costing reports received by project managers. Provide Critical Path Analysis, trend forecast, look ahead program reporting to client / management.

·         Supporting the smooth running and maintenance of a number of boilers on large facilities during pre / post shutdown periods and taking a proactive role in managing client interfaces, and interfaces with other contractors.

·         Anticipate problem areas regarding critical paths and advise remedial action. Production of ‘what if’ scenarios and plans to suit both client and contractor requirements
