I was employed with KGD as a Project Planning Engineer, for Township Project for the client Vedanta Aluminum Ltd at Jharsuguda in Orissa. KGD (www.khanglobal.com) is an Indo-American firm offering expertise in Architecture, Master planning, Engineering and Visualization services globally.

Major projects:

• Vedanta Township Project designed to accommodate 700 families and 256 bachelors, with residential area divided into five separate clusters, with each cluster having its own amenity block & swimming pool. With facilities including dispensary, school, club, modern market complex, auditorium, open air theatre, temple, guest house, etc… The scope land area of the project is 86 Acres. The built up area is approximately 28 Lack Sft which is divided in to 3 major contractors. KGD was the design and project management consultant for the project.

My role in the team was to co-ordinate between the Site & Design office & expedite the progress of works by quickly identifying & understanding drawing errors & technical difficulties that will be faced at site while execution. I worked as important link in the team as I translate the site requirement to design office Project manager & engineers and design update to site Projects manager & engineers. My primary role was to track, update & report the status of design deliverables and construction deliverables using planning tool Microsoft project/Primavera project planner V3.1 to the management and client & mainly alert the design team & project management team at site for any slippage/delay in the plan submitted to the client. I was directly reporting to the Project managers of employer and client & providing them with up-to-date status of project, via specified formats periodically.
