SENIOR PLANNING ENGINEER / Contracts Manager / Lead Expeditor / Delay Analyst:
Standard Senior Planning responsibilities including the provision of tender and live project planning inclusive of weekly, bi-weekly and monthly planning & reporting internally to management & externally to client;
Collaboration and liaison with Process, Engineering & Procurement Departments in order to provide tender schedules as well as updating, progress and making necessary schedule adjustments etc.
Major roles included that of lead planner on the ‘Carmon Creek’ Project [New Oil Production Facility, Peace River, Alberta, Canada (Value: $435m)] requiring to lead the interface between 4 Veolia Business Units and the Client with respect to the schedule / progress reporting and the like.
Additional scope of work includes that of Contracts Manager & Lead Expeditor on the later projects within which he collated data for & wrote contractual correspondence together with the necessary planning, impact planning and drafting of narratives for contractual EOT and Quantum Claims.
Duties also included being part of the team that introduced ‘IFS’ to the company for overall project control with regards Resources, Schedules, Process, Engineering & Procurement documentation & Costs relating to a project(s).
Neil also assisted with the establishment of procedures and protocols for standardized Scheduling, WBS together with methodologies and standard procedures of weighted progress calculations and reporting of KPI, SPI CPI’s & EVA’s etc
During his time with Veolia Oil & Gas some of the Projects, Neil worked on included:
- SHELL Carmon Creek Project - New Oil Production Facility, Peace River, Alberta, Canada (Value: $435m) – Lead planner between 4 different BU’s around the world
- Jazan IGCC (EP): Biological, Oily Water & Metal Removal Treatment Packages, Saudi Arabia (Value: $60m)
- ECOPetrol, Columbia: Djeno Feed Study & Karbala Refinery (Value: $70m)
- BP West Nile Delta Project (E) - Onshore Facility (Value: $4m)
- Tatweer I & III (WWTP TB 2, 3, 4, 1, 5 & 6) (EPC) – Bahrain (incl Claim(s) for EoT) (Value: $55m)
- Tatweer New Tank Battery (NTB) (EPC) – Bahrain (Value: $15m)
- Iraq West Qurna I (Tender)
- SONARA Camaroon (draft for negotiations)
- Qatar Petroleum (draft for negotiations)
- RMP2 Petron Daelim WWTP – Philippines (Value: $25m)
During the 7 year period with Veolia Water Technologies, Paris, Neil also assisted other Business Units with regards contractual claims planning and narratives for claims
