Work Week Manager Roles and Resposibilities 2005/2010

  • Introduce and develop a new Work Management process on the Sellafield Site.
  • Developing work scope and schedule for assigned work weeks and confirming that work is ready to be executed.
  • Provide update against the schedule to the  Daily Production Meeting.
  • Co-ordinating all tasks within an assigned work week to resolve any conflict that may obstruct adherence to that week’s schedule.
  • Confirming internal and external resources are balanced against the required workload for assigned work weeks and monitor resource utilisation through the work execution phase and take appropriate action where necessary.
  • Identifying and ensuring the development of contingency plans and implementing as needed.
  • Ensuring emergent work is appropriately risk assessed, resourced and scheduled for optimum delivery.
  • Chairing the weekly work preparation meetings. (T12,T6,T4,T2,T1,T0 AND T+1).
  • Collating all necessary information to prepare and present a critique report of assigned work weeks to Lead Team and plant representatives.
  • Deliver Presentations on Work Management to new starters to the company.

Technical /Training Advisor and Assessor Area 500 Fuel Fabrication and Export, Sellafield MOX Plant (SMP) Sept 2002 – September 2004.

 Seconded from BNFL Springfield’s to BNFL Sellafield SMP to support them Fuel Manufacturing  in Fuel Assembly Build Area. To give guidance and Training to SMP personnel in the Nuclear Fuel Fabrication Process         

 

  • Provision of specified services to internal/external customers to agreed standards.
  • Ensure that the service/output of the individual or the group is provided to agreed standards.
  • Where appropriate, allocate routine or semi-routine tasks within the group and monitor its progress.
  • Ensure that all relevant regulations and procedures are understood and applied.
  • Within set limits of control, deal with queries or anomalies relating to the groups activities otherwise refer upwards.
  • Where appropriate, motivate, guide and assist in the training of the group to develop the skills and abilities of others for the benefit of the company.
  • Training and evaluating of personnel in PWR fabrication.
