PLANNING ENGINEER, EDF Energy, Hinkley Point C EPR

START Date:
August, 2011

I have 2 years experience as a Planning Engineer on the Construction of an EPR in the UK working for EDF Energy NNB. This experience includes:

  • I have created and implemented the procedures and instructions for the construction scheduling of an EPR nuclear reactor for the Principle Contractor, EDF Energy.
  • I have managed the schedule of a variety of NEC, FIDIC and generic framework contracts. These include the remediation of a brown field site, the construction of site offices and the construction of an 11kV substation.
  • In addition to managing the Contractor’s detailed schedules I am the scheduler for the overall programme of projects which have started on site. This summary schedule has a large number of cross project interfaces that require constant management. I produce weekly and monthly reports from this summary schedule that include progress s-curves and major milestone analysis.
  • I have put together detailed construction schedules for managing specific construction zones in greater detail.
  • I have project managed a number of smaller contracts on site, including the installation of roads and access routes.
