CLP POWER, BLACK POINT POWER STATION, HONG KONG

Project Controls Manager for Owner’s Team, overseeing two key power upgrading projects as part of Hong Kong’s commitment to cleaner and more economic power:

New CCGT Project: Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Island with H-Class Gas Turbine technology of single shaft configuration and 3 Stage reheat Steam Turbine, Condenser with water cooled technology. Horizontal type triple pressure, reheat Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) with selective catalytic reduction and Step-up transformer connecting to Station 400kV substation. The project also consists of new cooling water system and balance of plant interfaces.

Gas Turbine Upgrade Project: Upgrade of Gas Turbine, replacing main rotor and centreline, gas module, controls and balance of plant.

Key responsibilities:

• Set overall project integrated schedule from FEED stage through to government approval, execution and completion.

• Set project schedule baselines s-curves and monitoring tools to support progress reporting and progress variances.

• Supporting progress through the Project Management Governance System approvals check points and readiness assessments.

• Set up project control procedures and supporting change management control, risk management and constructability readiness.

• Reviewing all tenders as part of technical review team and supporting contracting strategy on multi-contracting approach.

• Developed full integrated schedule, estimate development and planning all government permitting and regulatory process.

• Project reporting for weekly and monthly reports to various stakeholders and management.
