  • Preparing a project work breakdown structure and plan in accordance with the requirements of the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP)
  • Managing and monitoring progress to the plan and make changes as required. Develop recovery programme and contingency plans in order to meet changed objectives.
  • Report actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes. Highlight key milestone and critical path issues to members of the team, provide an assessment of the impact of such issues and recommend solutions to correct the position.
  • Providing cost report on periodic basis with forecast till the project end.
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Earned value management, milestone and KPI reporting ensuring that they are delivered to the high standard expected.
  • Interrogating Contractor's periodic programme submissions, highlighting the delay in the contractor programmes, understanding the delays and mitigating to meet the target.
  • Managing project interface issues / liaising with other package planners - contributing to the programme wide high level summary programme / milestone programme
