Lead Planning Engineer, MCCONNELL DOWELL - CONSTRUCTORS, APRIL GROUP - Pulp and Paper Mill Upgrade & Expansion Projects

  • The upgrades and expansion of mill-site / process plant project (USD $600MM+) were under client of APRIL GROUP, RAPP, PEC-Tech Indonesia, and involved of various Major Equipment Vendors: Metso, Kvaerner, AE Auto, Andritz, AH. Lundberg. etc.
 
  • Prioritized fabrication and erection plans for structural steel and piping erection programs, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project, in particular works of the upgrades and expansion of mill-site / process plant for the PL2D Project Areas: FL1 Upgrade; FL2 Cooking; FL2C Fiber Line Washing, Screening, Bleaching, White Liquor Oxidation and Scrubbers; Wood handling Chip Pile and Screens; Wood handling Belt Conveyors and Acacia Side Feeding 3 & 4.
 
  • • Developed and implemented control of tightened planning standard of P6 level 4 schedule constraints, cost / budget baselines and forecasts, resource demand requirements, subcontractors planning packages requirements.
  •  • Developed and implemented project tracking tools for successfully communicate of plans and progress status to support Project Manager and key operations personnel.
  • • Performed technical Assistant to the planning team and project teams related planning and prioritization in case of resource constraints or delays.
  • • Focused attention on cost and profit optimizations in quantity surveying activities such as invoices / claims analysis, variation change management, PO’s and subcontracts, etc.
  • • Monitored actual progress throughout the construction process and comparing this with the projected schedule, demands of critical resources forecasts and effective cost tracking.
  • • Oversaw the planning elements of the change control procedure for any major variance between the actual work in progress to enable overview of operation for site / project management teams.
  • • Developed periodic reports for communication of Plans to Site and Project teams.
  • • Liaised and coordinated with stakeholders and relevant departments.
