My current role is split between managing planners, tender planning and contract planning. I have been managing upto 6 planners since 2007. Making sure there workload is controlled bringing to the business temporary or permanent planners as and when required, training them in accordance with the Birse Planning Standards and Process Maps. Undertaking yearly PDR’s and organising any relevant training.  While working on tenders, I liaise with the tender team, producing a programme of works including resources and will also provide a temporary works schedule with associated costs.  If the tender is awarded I am responsible for updating and revising the programme working with the operational and commercial teams and reporting on a monthly basis.
