Working as “Senior Project Planning Engineer”in the Project Engineering Department of OMV for the projects:

Mehar Gas Field Development Project- Pakistan” 

 

Where responsibilities included:

·         Analyze  Project Scope, develop the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) according to SMART characteristics and prepare Control Estimate & Master Project Schedule to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within time, within budget and according to parameters/specifications

·         Develop and prepare the Project Execution Plan to outline the processto determine time frame, funding procedures and quality parameters for accomplishing project staffing requirement and allotment of available resources to various phase of project

·         Prepare Activity Plan and Activity Schedule by estimating duration with the help of historical data, expert advice, Delphi technique and Three point technique after eliminating or minimizing causes of variations

·         Preparethe Planning Package as a basis for developing Progress S-curves, Manpower/resource requirements and progress tracking

·         Evaluate the technical proposals to determine their compliance with specified requirements, assess adequacy of the resource requirements and prepare relevant portion of the Technical Evaluation Report

·         Prepare and update the Total Project Cost against the estimates, for controlling and monitoring the details of the actual commitment, expenditures, trends and forecast in comparison to the approved budget

·         Update and analyse Project Schedule and Cost, highlight variance/issues in schedule and cost, critical path and make recommendations for  effective mitigation

·         Review and analyse Contractor’s Schedule, highlight issues and make recommendations for effective resolutions with Contractors

·         Prepare project reports (Daily/ weekly/ fortnightly/ monthly / quarterly), and performance review

·         Coordination and preparation for Project Risk Assessment,  Project Integrated Review, Project Lesson Learnt

·         Complete coordination for HSE activities like Project Initiation Report, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Initial Environmental Examination etc.

·         Coordination for Logistics, Land acquisition and Community related issues

·         Document controls and records management.

·         Preparing and maintaining high level and detailed annual and total budgets for all phases of the project life cycle.
