I have joined “Yokogawa Middle East Co. B.S.C. Abudhabi” on 20th June, 2010 as a “Planning Engineer” in its Engineering Department & serving till to date.

 

Yokogawa Middle East (YME) is an international company based in the Kingdom of Bahrain and operating in the fields of Measurement, Control and Information technology, Industrial Automation. It is a subsidiary of Yokogawa Electric Corporation based in Tokyo Japan. YME is the regional headquarter and has affiliates and branch offices in KSA, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Iran etc. All the activities of the regional branch offices are under the supervision and control of YME-Bahrain. YME provides standard and custom-made solutions in Process Automation to the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, and Power and Water industries. Based on this experience, YME is able to interpret customer needs and to respond with sound and cost-effective solutions. In Japan we are the leading manufacturer of IA systems and outside Japan our position in this industry is preeminent.

YME has a wealth of experience in the sales of products & solutions, project implementation, training and maintains after sales services mainly for:

- Process Automation Systems (PAS)

- Process Control Instruments (PCI) and analyzers or; Maintenance Repair and Operations Supplies (MRO).

Currently I am working in its Abu-Dhabi office for the following ongoing & oncoming projects:

·         Ruwais 4th NGL Train (GASCO Project).

·         Habshan Flare Gas Recovery Project (ESD System).

·         Habshan ESD Replacement Phase-0 & Phase-1 Project.

·         ADCO Project (Bida Al Qemzan Field Development) etc.

·         Total Laggan Project (Petrofac & Total)

·         Habshan Sulphur Granulation Project (GASCO-ASAB)

As a Planning Engineer My responsibilities are as follows:

1.      Responsible for the development of projects planning package such as preparing schedule of the required Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) level based on the relevant project scope and information. Adding activities and creating relationship with assigning resources as per requirement.

2.      Prepared and allocated Weight Percentage by discipline and to all its activities based on its quantity and workload.

3.      Prepared Progress Measurement System for invoice submission and approval.

4.      Coordinated engineering and construction team members’ work to ensure project budgets and schedules were met.

5.      Prepared and monitors materials delivery schedule in accordance with the construction sequence to avoid delay on site activities.

6.      Updates the project schedule and prepares a progress summary report based on actual percentage completion against the planned percentage.

7.      Review the actual progress against the planned schedule and evaluates the variance for each activity and prepares a list of outstanding and critical activities.

8.      Discuss with the Project Managers any areas of concern that leads to critical activities and recommends corrective actions / recovery plan based on the availability of the resources.

9.      Prepares Look-ahead, weekly and monthly reports as required by the client and consultant.

10.  Compiles records of previous updated progress reports and documentations as may be required for future reference.

11.  Prepares correspondence for any day to day letters; like issuing MEMO, changes on schedule, progress evaluation, and other planning and scheduling related matters.

12.  Performed Critical Path Analysis and Subjective Analysis for the Delay Claims.
