May 2011 – Present – P6 Project Planner – Babcock Rail – Signalling/Infrastructure

Based in Crewe, Babcock is a Turn Key Organisation working through all Network Rail GRIP Stages from Development to Scheme Commissioning and Handback

• Running the planning for several schemes at a time including Signalling schemes such as – North West Re-Control, Glan Conwy, Moreton on the Lugg Mitigation Schemes (LNE & LNW), North Yorkshire Re-Signalling, Crewe Minor Works, Smithy Bridge, amongst others.
• Creating Resource and cost loaded plans for tender and live schemes.
• Working to control the costs for the project with the commercial team and producing Earned value curves for the client and for internal forecasting
• Working closely with the project managers and Quantity Surveyors on all schemes to develop accurate forecasting and to deliver the schemes in an organised and timely manner.
• Chairing/attending regular programme and project reviews to update the plan and make the team aware of change/issues
• Multi Discipline planning (Signalling, OLE, E&P, Telecoms, Civils, Pway)
• Critical Path Analysis for <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />CVR Reviews.
• Be responsible and report for my programmes and forecasting to Director Level
