April 2008 – November 2010: Alstom Power Boiler Retrofits

During this period I was working as a Site Support Engineer at Drax Power Station. The project scope is the install and commissioning of the largest co-firing biomass system to date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme; creating, updating, maintaining and forecasting.
  • Reviewing sub-contractors programmes and Monthly Reports.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of the Works.
  • Reporting to Client through programme and reports.
  • Reporting and resolving issues with management and other team members.
  • Conducting CDM Health and Safety inductions for new works.
  • Creating and answering technical queries.
  • Management of smaller projects including:
  • Altering a dust extraction system.
  • Rework of a Bulk Silo Screw Feeder Housing.
  • Installation of an extension to a fire deluge.
