Working as Senior Planning Engineer in Al Gihaz Trading and Contracting Company, Riyadh Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Handling the Planning and Controlling activities of 30 medium size EPC projects of Power Sector worth total value of Approx. USD 746 Million (SAR-2.8 Billion) and leading the team of 8 site planning engineers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of Preliminary Time Schedules for the projects under Tendering using Primavera P-6.0 after thorough Study of Project scope and Technical Specification received from clients.
- Determining Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) from level 1 to 4 and Major Phases of the project. Identifying activities to be performed under the WBS as per scope and technical specification.
- Ensuring proper relationships and adequate logics between the activities and assignments of activity codes.
- Allocation of all resources to the activities using Construction Cost Index and Taking into account the Organization culture.
- Expense loading in all activities as per Budget and Schedule-C as agreed with the Client and assign cost accounts.
- Preparation of complete budget of the project and preparation of complete budget projections during the project.
- After final Review of project Determining Critical path and assigning baseline for proper updating of the project during project life cycle.
- Provision of One Month look-ahead schedule to Project Manager for execution and follow-up of activities as per SOW.
- Review and analysis of project schedules updated by site planning engineers.
- Preparation of Bi-Monthly progress reports including Synopsis on critical issues in the particular areas, highlighting the bottlenecks.
- Preparation of Cash flows and forecast of manpower requirements and budget at completion (BAC) and provide the Budget projections to higher management and concerned departments with the help of S- Curves and Bell Diagrams.
- Preparation Monthly progressive invoices for the complete activities as per the payment procedure of different clients.
- Preparation of Power point presentations for weekly higher management meetings showing complete picture of the project progress highlighting critical issues, major problems, key achievements by showing Fish Bone Diagrams and other necessary flow charts.
- Monitoring and controlling the project by holding regular meetings with Project Manager for proper execution of planned activities and proper utilization of manpower.
