Project Planner, Fluor, Indeni Phase 2

START Date:
December, 2006
END Date:
June, 2007

I was working on the Indeni Phase 2 Project. I was part of a core team of individuals that was head office based, but I had moved to site in Zambia to have a hands-on approach of monitoring progress on a daily basis. This project was multi disciplinary, consisting of design, procurement, fabrication and erection of piping, civil works, structural steel fabrication and erection, electrical and instrumentation erection, as well as close-outs, in the petrochemical industry. Using Primavera Project software, I compiled & update level 3 integrated schedule, that has been resource loaded, providing weekly, as well as monthly reports for Management meetings. All subcontractors’ schedules will be incorporated as sub-projects into our over-all schedule, creating a level 4 integrated schedule. The compilation of graphs for progress measurement, indicating the earned man-hours versus the planned man-hours. Assisted with Management and co-ordination of interface milestones with sub-contractors. The familiarity with contract documents, general conditions, special conditions, scope of work and contractual drawings is of great importance. Analyzing sub-contractor’s schedules to make sure they are still on schedule, checking earned progress versus planned progress. The project was put on hold due to a lack of funds from Indeni and all Fluor employees returned to head office.
