Maintenance Planning Team , BP, Refinery Maintenance

  • Accountable for delivering planning and scheduling organizational specific leadership to the routine unit planners. Ensure that planning and scheduling services under my accountability are of the highest quality to support the site goals and objectives. Ensure that planning and scheduling is performed consistently throughout the refinery in accordance with the Maintenance Operating Model. Establish and maintain key relationships with field maintenance, operations, procurement, accounting, central shops, programs, Tar, projects, contractors and suppliers.
  • Developed a work flow process and procedure for Kitting and Staging of planned materials. Process was transitioned throughout the organization over the last several months and is now fully implemented. To date a reduction of 2% in hot shot deliveries has been reduced due to materials are properly handled and
  • Developed, facilitated and coached maintenance work flow processes and procedures for maintenance and operations in an effort to drive consistency throughout the organization to improve efficiency and reduce maintenance expenditures.
  • Produced a tracking system that enables the organization to identify jobs that are ready to schedule based on a set criteria to eliminate scheduling work that was not ready to execute. This involved making changes to the maintenance management software (SAP) as well as the P6 schedule. This resulted in an increase in productivity and minimized equipment down time.
  • Successfully accomplished a weekly and daily refinery site wide schedule by interfacing SAP and P6 which enables automatic 100% resource level loading for optimal utilization of craft resources (BP and contract) and reduce the planner/schedulers involvement in manually resource leveling. This has prevented over allocation of resources and contributed to a reduction in manpower.
  • Monitored KPI compliance for all areas of my organization and develop strategies to assure objectives are met by developing a tracking tool that made PM’s and safety orders transparent to upper management in an effort to engage them in the process. This resulted in improving site wide PM compliance by 48% in 12 months and resulted in completing safety orders within the set guidelines set by the organization. 
  • Built and maintained standardized job plan templates for fixed and rotating equipment in the Maintenance Management System library to drive consistency throughout the maintenance organization and increase planning efficiencies.
  • Worked with various teams to develop policies, procedures and strategies that pertain to the overall organization.
