§  Develop detailed implementation plans and control procedures, enabling the analysis of contractor's, subcontractor's, manufacturer's and suppliers basic activities, including significant milestones through a work breakdown structure.

§  Organize the correct resources to take advantage of the available physical resources by leading/providing guidance to management and subcontractors. That will result in their doing effective timely work.

§  Implement, maintain and update a computerized progress control system which enables the monitoring and follow up planned/actual physical progress. This is done through use of a computerized software system such as spread sheet or primavera.

§  Comparison of the execution program, actual achievements and forecasts by monitoring , measuring or controlling the project work to find out how progress differ from plan in time to initiate corrective action with a consequent need to change resources. This is done through the use of critical path network, bar charts, progress curves, histograms and follow-up tables.

§  Prompt identification of delay, and where necessary actions required implementing corrective measures to recover any slippage.

§  Create new performance measurements plan if the performance deviates from the contract execution program to the point where the original plan can no longer be an effective basis for control.

§  Evaluate claims for time extension or disruption.

§  Reporting to the management on the work progress during the entire duration of the contract
