Commissioning Planning Engineer, TOTAL, Coke & Sulfur Handling Project

START Date:
September, 2001
END Date:
October, 2002

Developed a full pre-commissioning and commissioning network down to task and discipline level with coding structure to produce reports by System, Contractor, Discipline and Project Phase.

The project involved the commissioning of a Conveyor System to transport Coke and Sulfur Products from the main Upgrader Complex to shipping jetties. Elements included several Instrumentation Control Systems, a Coke storage area for 1,000,000 tonnes of coke, 10 transfer towers, and 8 electrical substations.

This fast track project ($62 million) required a detailed plan which interfaced directly with the ICAPS (Integrated Commissioning and Progress System). Earned Manhours and progress were calculated directly from the completed documentation gathered by ICAPS and transferred to Prima Vera for schedule and resource analysis. I reported directly to the commissioning manager.
