Project Planner with Laing O’Rourke (London & South East) Ltd working on the £185m Ascot Racecourse Redevelopment Project. Responsibilities for the £90m shell and core element of this project, under the new NEC contract, included monitoring and progressing the overall programme and some of the larger package programmes. Working with an assistant my role included control over both direct and sub-contract works, reporting to both internal and external customers. Project Planner with Laing O’Rourke (London & South East) Ltd on the £90m North Swindon Schools PFI Project. Drafted in as an extra planning resource to re-target the programme and to communicate the new programme requirements to the site team in order to bring the project back on schedule. Responsibilities included monitoring progress but also setting audacious weekly targets, involvement in pre-construction elements and taking an overview of the 7 school project.
