Position: Project Planner

Duties:

  • Planning and Control activities in coordination with other team members (Project Control Coordinator, Risk Manager, other planners)
  • Periodic reporting to the Client (and to the Employer if requested)
  • Coordination of planning/reporting activities.
  • Development of the planning activities for the project phases, in full integration (also as concerns software compatibility/consistency of the adopted scheduling tools) with the overall EPC project schedule.
  • Produce detailed scheduling and monitoring of activities (i.e. by discipline/area, by plant sector, by subcontractors/vendor, with identification of schedule interfaces between different subcontractors/vendors working in same area, etc).
  • Planning and control of the physical progress curves (S curves) for the project phase (i.e. by discipline/trade, plant area, subcontractor/vendor etc), in accordance with the procedures/methods practiced within Client’s organization.
  • Production, analysis and collection of detailed progress report sheets.
  • Planning and control of turnover schedules (by plant / process systems) including all fazes from construction to commissioning and start-up.
  • Elaborate critical path analysis.
  • Perform “at the earliest” and/or “at the latest” schedule analysis as well as float management.
  • Perform productivity trend analysis.
  • Produce workload histograms (i.e. by discipline/area, plant area, subcontractor/vendor, etc)
  • Revision of actual/forecast dates vs target baseline, with identification/suggestion of possible recovery actions and/or mitigations and/or accelerations.
  • Production of any monthly/weekly reporting according to Client needs and standard.
  • Revision and analysis and/or comment of the detailed scheduling and of progress reporting submitted by subcontractors and/or vendors.
  • Participate to all periodic project review/progress meetings, according to client’s needs and requests.
  • Support to the Employer contract management / planning team.
