Senior Scheduler

 Develop a full understanding of project scope, project requirements and contractual documents.

• Understand construction methodology, track access requirements and constraints, interfaces and third party obligations.

• Implement best practice schedule and integration techniques, reflecting what are practiced on other large infrastructure programs world-wide.

• Keep up to date with emerging business and industry trends and the implications of these trends for scheduling.

• Develop and maintain whole lifecycle project schedules which reflect the strategy of the Project Delivery Team with clearly defined critical paths, interfaces and external dependencies

• Develop relationships with responsible managers and Directors, and provide motivation for them to fully utilize the schedule and to use it to support their decision making.

• Understand and interpret contractor proposals; review contractor schedules based on contracts scheduling requirements and provide recommendations to the project team on acceptance or rejection.

• Ensure that baseline contractor schedules accepted do not un-necessarily expose the client to future claims and support the client with forensic analysis of contractor schedules in the event of claim submissions.

• Establish and maintain baseline schedules.

• Update schedules with actual progress and forecast remaining durations, key milestone dates and completion and handover dates.

• Support schedule risk analysis which is used to forecast and manage time contingencies.

• Prepare delay analysis, critical path analysis and other performance reports and present them to the project delivery team in their regular progress meetings.

• Prepare and issue schedule analysis narratives including recommendations for corrective actions that are used by project delivery teams to manage the work. 

• Analyze schedule progress and performance, identify potential risks, issues and problem areas and facilitate their resolution.

• Develop, implement, and monitor earned value systems that accurately measure progress and performance.

• Apply practical field experience with scheduling knowledge to identify challenges to the project schedule and suggest mitigation plans.

• Develop and maintain the overall Integrated Schedule architecture for the wider program including codes, calendars, key milestones and interface milestones. Ensure that central scheduling team requirements regarding schedule standards, consistency and quality are rigorously adhered to.
