Logging While drilling Field Engineer, Schlumberger, Drilling and Well Work

START Date:
July, 2012
END Date:
September, 2013

Working as M\LWD Field Engineer in Measurement and Logging while Drilling Services. Position requires geological, mechanical, electrical and I.T. knowledge. Main role involves inspecting, programming, running and monitoring MWD and LWD tools in the borehole to provide the client with critical data regarding direction of borehole, inclination of borehole and formation evaluation.

Main tasks:
-Setup of MWD/LWD tools and surface system equipment including physical checks, frame building, and tool programming to ensure proper well site functioning

-Ensure that operations are provided with service quality and safety as top priorities

-Anti-collision analysis accounting for statistical and systematic uncertainties using uncertainty models and 3D visualization of field survey data

-Completion of daily logs, drilling mechanics analysis, and reports based on the drilling program

-Log interpretation of digital data for quality assurance by setting empirical and theoretical constraints on tool response, drilling, and formation data

-Monitor drilling environment to ensure tools run within specification, provide early washout detection to prevent LIH situations, and mitigation of shocks
