Nov.4 – Feb.6 Project: Underfloor Wheel Lathe, Northfields Depot (£2.8M)This project is the design and construction of a facility (20m x 15m x 7m high) and installation of the underfloor wheel lathe at Northfields Depot. Key activities include concrete foundations (including underpinning & sheet piling); drainage; steel frame erection; composite cladding; electrical, mechanical, fire & comms installations; wheel lathe, shunter and height adjustment table installations; track design and re-alignment; and external footpaths and road reconstruction.Worked as part-time tender / project planner producing & updating level 4/5 programmes. Key functions include monitoring and reporting progress; assessing and advising on effect of variations / compensation events. Mapping out & monitoring the key processes such as design; procurement; implementation; testing & commissioning; handover and LUL assurance. Producing contract specific information such as histograms, cash flows charts, activity schedules, resource schedules, etc. as required by project team.May.3 – Apr.4 Project: Canary Wharf East End Opening (£6..0M)This was the up-grading of the east end of the Canary Wharf Station to enable it to be opened to the public for the first time. Key activities include up-grading the electrical lighting installation; design & installation of new entrance glass doors; up-grading/ new installation of switchable signs; enabling and finishing works for the side link break-through; converting existing station offices to new POM rooms,  new Communication installation; civil works for the new gateline (complete with GLAP); and deep cleaning of the station. This was a flagship project for Tubelines and had very tight finish dates. The project has been recognized as the first to be completed within time & budget under the new PPP agreement. East End of station was opened by Mayor K. Livingstone May.4.Worked as full-time project planner with similar responsibilities as above.May.1 – May.3    Project: Elephant & Castle Station Refurbishment. (£11.6M)This project consisted of the demolition of the existing northern line ticket hall and design and build of the new ticket hall. Key activities include enabling works to divert passengers to bakerloo line ticket hall; erecting of crash deck and hoardings around existing market area; diverting key stat services; concrete foundations; steel frame erection; brick and blockwork walls; installation of electrical, mechanical, fire and comms services; design and build of new hydraulic lift; design and build of new gateline and all types of decorating / finishes.BML were acting as project managers as part of the extended arm contracts for MetronetBCV.Worked as full-time project planner. Additional responsibilities (to above) include determining suitable work packages for contractors; sending out tender packages and assessing returns; risk management & reporting. Developed suitable risk model using primavera P3 that allowed risk bars to be ‘switched on & off’ to produce target or master project programmes from one programme.Apr.4 - Date Tender planning - various (£1.0 – 6.0M)Work on various tenders ranging from £1m to £6m. This vary from Station modernization projects to design and build U.K. Paper Warehouse, Kemsley, Sittingbourne (£2.2M)Coxheath Water Treatment Works (£2.7M)
