Role:                      Project Planner -

Work/Skills:

  • Prepare a project work breakdown structure and plan in accordance with the requirements.
  • Manage so that the plan is so fully resourced and cost loaded and monitor progress to the plan and make changes as required. Develop recovery programme and contingency plans in order to meet changed objectives.
  • To produce fully cost  and resource loaded programme to reflect Cost Performance Indicator (CPI)& Schedule performance Indicators (SPI) / Budgeted total cost / At completion total cost / remaining total cost / earned value cost / planned value total cost and risk management , as part of an integrated Earned value management (EVM) team.

 

  • Provide 4 week and 12 week lookahead programme to support the Project Manager requirements.
  • Input the planning issues into the projects critical issues risk log review planning risks and monitor whether the risks is register is updated accordingly.

 

  • Report actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes. Highlight key milestone and critical path issues to members of the team, provide an assessment of the impact of such issues and recommend solutions to correct the position.

 

  • Monitor and audit contractor plans. Monitor contractor’s planning processes so that they comply with client’s rail procedure requirements.

 

  • Reports to the Planning Manager and provide planning support to the sections managers.
