Planning and Controls Manager – From February/2015 to December/2016.

  • Carajás Iron Ore S11D: (a US$ 17 billion program): Main deliveries: Planning of the pre-stripping (22 million m3 / 70 million of metric tons), 39km of long distance conveyors (15km are relocatable), 7 mobiles crushing plants for the IPCC system. Civil works consisting of 130.000 m3 of concrete, a 230KVA substation, 43 secondary substations, 43 secondary substations, 22km of asphalt paved roads, facilities buildings, an 80 ton/day explosives plant and 60.000 tons of electromechanical erection. The issue of follow-up reports, change management and risk analysis.

 

Experience on Vale S/A. - Belo Horizonte - Brazil

Global PMO Manager –Jan/2011 - Jan/2015

·      Implementation and Consolidation of the Global PMO of the Mineral Projects Department, supporting FEL1 mineral projects and technology projects managing a budget in excess of US$ 115 million/year.

·      Development of a Project Management methodology 100% aligned with ISO-9001 as per Bureau Veritas´ audit in Dec/2014 with zero non-conformities.

·      Responsible for the infrastructure of Vale´s Mineral Development Center with 35 000 m2 of labs and other types of buildings.

Coordinator of the training program for the Capital Projects teams  Jun-Dec/ 2010

·      Under my coordination about 110 project leaders from Brazil and abroad were trained in the management model of Vale's capital projects.
