Artemis Consultant, Phillips Petroleum, Ekofisk II

START Date:
March, 1995
END Date:
October, 1998

I provided direct project planning support during the £3 billion and 22,000 man years project building two new platforms in the North Sea to replace the 10 subsiding platforms. I provided 24 hours support for 50 onshore and offshore planners during the Hook-up and Commissioning phase as this was an extremely critical period with huge penalties for late delivery.

I also worked in the Materials Group defining and building the Procurement System; a system where the vendor, contractors and Phillips (the operator) can monitor or progress the purchasing of the materials for two new platforms in the North Sea.

Over a two-year period I developed a new application called the Offshore Activity Plan (OAP); a huge database that imported and tracked all of Phillips plans and the contractors to produce short and long term look-ahead plans, which was eventually replaced by SAP. Tools used were Artemis 9000, MS Access and MS office.
