START Date:

END Date:
September, 2005

Project planning on the TV4T project ‘River Tame Structures Package’ which involved the structures and earthworks over and adjacent to the River Tame to enable the expansion of this part of the west coast mainline from 2 to 4 lines.

Tender planner for the Rugeley Eastern Bypass.  I prepared the programme and planning aspects of the quality submission for this tender which was ultimately successful.  The scheme included the construction of two new structure to take the new bypass under existing railway lines.  Both bridges were constructed offline and slid into position under short term rail possessions.  The new highway between the two structures was located in flood plain and to prevent closure due to flooding the highway was constructed in a reinforced concrete trough that tied into the structures.  The programme homogeneously linked the offline works through the numerous possessions to demonstrate the full critical path for this project.
