May, 2017 I was brought onto the team at Methanex, Geismar to help get th eproper systems and processes in place for their forst maintenance turnaround.
- Writing and implementing Turnaround planning policies and procedures.
- Reviewing contractor schedules for logical work order and accuracy
- Planning Mechanical and IE work orders for turnarounds and shutdowns
- Ordering material and interfacing with vendors to supply clarification on technical questions
- Issuing requisitions for material through MAXIMO
- Verifying and kitting material for work order execution
- Develop detailed resource loaded Shutdown and Turnaround schedules
- Conduct schedule development meetings to determine path of construction and assignment of leveling priorities
- Running what if scenarios to maximize the schedule and avoid possible delays
- Update and maintain the turnaround schedules while in shutdown
- Prepare progress reporting documents for all contractors.
- Interface with all contractors to deliver schedule updates in daily turnover meetings.
- Report schedule progress and performance to upper management
- Perform Critical path analysis to assess impacts to the schedule and recommend corrective action
