 I was an integral part in setting up Project Controls Department within the Business Unit and is a key player in most of the Management decisions and strategies.

My regular responsibilities include:

 

    • Leading the Project Control team in Planning, Estimation and cost control.
    • Preparation of Budgets & Schedules for proposals.
    • Monitoring and control of ongoing projects.

    • Key player in the preparation of forecasts to align business plans.
    • Attend Risk review and cost review meeting with our corporate team, prior to proposals submissions;
    • Preparation and co-ordination of activities related to management of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning by monitoring progress and control of project;
    • Preparation of Package split and Package scope dictionary for each Contract package and Purchase orders, in order to guide construction and start-up strategy;
    • Preparation and Maintenance of Master schedules up to the required Work Breakdown level for Projects;
    • Preparation of CPN (Commitment Package Network) reports and conduct meetings on regular basis with other department to ensure Project tracking;
    • Prepare Contractual key dates for Contract packages and Monitor progress of activities to be in line with the master schedule;
    • Prepare Cash-flows and actualizing the same with the actual situations of project;
    • Review the actual progress against planned schedule, evaluates the variance and prepare a list of outstanding critical activities;
    • Monthly reporting of the projects and earned value reporting, quantity calculations of BOQ items for payment invoicing;
    • Attending meetings with Client regarding progress and payment corroboration;
    • Analyze cost short falls and advising Management to take appropriate steps to curtail the same;
    • Controlling budget and cost trend programming;
    • Analyze schedule slippage and take appropriate action by advising Contractors or suppliers for relevant recoveries;
    • Attend regular Site meetings for Progress monitoring and advice field personnel and Contractors regarding work sequencing to ensure accomplishment of Contractual Key Dates;
    • Manage other Planning Engineers within the Department and provide appropriate help whenever required;
    • Perform claim analysis for all ongoing Projects in Portfolio level and advice Project Management for appropriate measures;
    • Review Reports of Contractors and suppliers to ensure logical sequence of work along with productivity
