DUTIES AND JOBS RESPONSIBILITIES:-

---

Visual inspection of fit up and welding joint. Performing visual inspection as per code specification or follow the procedure.

Inspection and witness all site quality activities like electrode, fit up, weld visual etc.

Quality control of welding procedure, including consumable, parameters, purge control, preheating and interposes temperature control etc.

Inspection of various NDT (DPT, MPT, RT and UT).

Inspection over different type of welding Processes, SMAW, GTAW etc. Filler rod for different material, welding procedure qualification as per ASME code Section IX.

Inspection of piping spool as per isometric drawing.

Monitoring welder’s performance weekly and daily welding rejection rate.

Monitoring the welding activities as per WPS, PQR& Quality System Procedure.

Witnessing Welder Qualification test for Welders.

Follow up with Sub Contractor for stage wise inspection like fit ups, weld visual and verification test certificate. Carried out inspection of fabrication of large diameter water storage tank as per GA &Detailed fabrication drawing.

Material utilization as per specifications and Standards (pipe, fitting, bolts, gasket etc.)

Supervision of workshop activities for pre-fabrication of associated piping work.

Preparation and compilation of documentation related to inspection activities such material certification, welding NDT, pressure testing etc. for client submittal.

Witnessing of hardness test on site for welded joint and base metal.

Monitoring and Evaluation of MT, PT and UT jobs as per the internal and client’s approved Quality Plan by daily job allocation to operators.

Interpretation of Radiographic films & review of NDE reports and dimensional reports.

Witnessing Magnetic Particle & Dye Penetrate test. Witnessing Hardness test.

Submitting WPS/PQR for the client’s approval.

Conversant with various welding process such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and SAW.

Supervision of Pre Heating and PWHT in line with concerned WPS/PQR.

Before welding, doing the fit up inspection for proper root gap, groove angle, root face and checking the preheat temperature. Preparations of weld map and weld summary list.

During welding, conducting the In-process welding inspection, checking the Preheat and inter pass temperature, electrical parameters and inspecting proper cleaning between the weld beads.

Metallographic testing of ferrous materials and interpretation of microstructures.

Maintaining records and arranging of calibration for Inspection, Measuring & Testing Equipments.

NDE Coordination, interpretation of radiographic film, witnessing penetrant and magnetic particle testing. Coordination for PMI Selection joints and Witnessing.

Implementation of inspection test plan (ITP). Ensure that all required NDE examination shall be performed prior to final systemAir Leak Test, Hydro testing(Pressure test).

Inspection of fit-ups and completed welds including dimensional aspects as per approved drawings.

Monitoring welding activities pre-heat, post weld heat treatment and calibration status of all welding and inspection equipment’spreparing the summary list of the qualified welders.

Preparation of all quality documents and welding surveillance reports.

Review of hold points and ensure the inspection with client inspectors.

Witness MPT, LPT, UT, and PMI, hardness test and review all NDT reports. Ensure all welders are performing in accordance with the approved WPS.   

Carried out inspection of fabrication of pipes as per P&ID  Isometric drawings

To carried out MC (Mechanical Clarence) work down (Line) Package Inspection, And Module inspection and Update on IPCS. (Integrated Piping Control System)

Maintain the quality of workmanship, helper etc.
