Responsibilties as a Planning Engineer:

  • Develop & maintain Level 1 / 2, and detailed level 3 / 4 schedules in Primavera P6 (defining standard activities, the required dependencies, linkages, inter-relationships, associated cycles, durations, responsibility codes, resource loading, etc.) with the support of Disciplines Leaders and the Project Managers to ensure that the project plans are regularly updated and reflect accurate information.
  • Build and maintain the schedules with global custom codes for the project (WBS, activity code, resource, etc.), and extracting resource (man-hours and quantity) for the progress curves and quantity curves from Primavera.
  • Assess and communicate risks impacts on the project to the Project Managers.
  • Identify with the Leaders interfaces between packages and their impact to the Project Master Schedule.
  • Use the last updated schedules to build the manpower histograms & check the capacity planning.
  • Develop and use existing templates to communicate on the project progress and deviation (S Curve).
  • Define and update the forecast dates with the contribution of Procurement Department.
  • Prepare the back-up files with progress (Overall, Engineering, Procurement, Material delivery, Construction and Commissioning activities) for invoicing at Monthly closure.
  • Training of junior staffs related to Planning activities.

Responsibilties as Cost Control Engineer:

  • Project Cost Reporting with highlights on budget variances (current budget vs. Forecast and promote corrective action to maximize cost effectiveness.
  • Capturing committed costs to establish actual economical status of the project.
  • Preparation of Monthly Accruals whilst coordinating with various department & ensure proper back-up documentations are in place.
  • Monitoring/Control of Personnel Mobilization Plan integrating it to Cost Report File (Actual / Forecast).
  • Monitor and control the monthly actuals versus the planned budget and advise the Project Control Manager of the budgetary status per period take off.
  • Preparation of Invoices (Progress, Reimbursable, Change Orders (EVN/CVN).
  • Monitoring of overdue Receivables and follow-up with client for status of payments.
  • Management / Control of all PO raised by assigning correct WBS and doing Management Issue in SAP for processing.
  • Checking Vendor Invoices and verified to Mgt. all Work Order and Service Entries prior to authorization/approval in SAP.
  • Monitoring of various Vendor Site Assistance Mob/Demob plan and budget forecast and updating status of each Frame Agreements.
  • Prepare audit requirements as requested by corporate.
  • Jointly prepare with Project Control Manager (PCM) Project Status Reports & Cost Reports highlighting cost overruns/under runs, Committed Costs and remaining ETC.
  • Preparation of summary of Back-charges to Vendors and integrating it to Cost Report File
  • Training of junior staffs related to Cost Control activities.
