I am an Australian engineer who has over 30 years of professional experience working on large and mega construction projects in building, rail, infrastructure, civil and O&G sectors in Australia, UAE and Egypt.

Over my career, I have worked for two employers; CRC-Dorra for 18 years and Laing O’Rourke from 2004 to date.

Currently, I am working for Laing O’Rourke Australia as the Project Controls Lead on the Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway Upgrade - A$4.9bn. I have a team of five staff direct reports in addition to five functional report.

My key strengths are leadership and strategic thinking. With the big picture always in mind, I provide insights and constructive recommendations that help an informed decision making on projects. My technical strengths are in the field of developing, implementing and managing project controls strategies and processes corporate and project levels for cost, change management, scheduling, progress monitoring, risk management and EV management. I have complemented this with very strong focus and strategic approach to digital transformation, real time reporting and integrated project controls.

In Australia, Laing O’Rourke is working under different models such as main contractor, construction manager, delivery partner and subcontractor, a diversity that provided me with second to none extensive experience and strengths operating project controls.
