Involved with project controls since 1974, after completing a marine engineering apprenticeship. Have progressively worked through from planning engineer, manager, consultant, expert witness, project manager and project director to current employment as director of project controls for major projects for a international oil company. Has experience of all types of contracting structures including fixed price, remeasurable, reimbursable and hybrid target price/alliance contracts has been responsible for multi-million dollar EPC projects through from tender to operational start- up and handover. Has working in various industries including shipbuilding, both onshore and offshore oil and gas Facilties. Has worked for both contractor and owner and as an independent consultant for the legal services. Has worked in multiple locations around the world. Currently resides in Houston, but is temporarily assigned to Milan, Italy while working as the deputy project director on a mega redevelopment project for a large oilfield located in the middle east.
