  • Contractor Schedule Over-site:  Conducting Earned Value Analysis on contractor schedules and identifying resource constraints on schedule driven projects.  Evaluating contractor resources & identify critical path.
  • Work with KPL Operations Resources to manage KEEP IT RUNNING activities.  This includes the development of 30/60/90 Day Look-Aheads for all KPL projects and resources.
  • Conduct EV analysis on internal project schedules: BAC, SPI, CPI (where applicable)
  • Organize project planning meeting with project teams to develop project schedules and work plans.

National Electric Coil (Power Plant Industry)

 

  • Create Engineering Design and Production Schedules for the fabrication of power plant generator coil winding in an MRP setting.
  • Incorporate Man Hour cost, Sub-Contractor cost, Material cost into project schedules.
  • Conduct Earned Value Analysis and create weekly status reports for upper management.
  • Develop cost estimates for various aspects of work to be completed.
  • Currently developing a CLOSE-OUT process for all projects.  Such items to be included will be:  final cost, finalized and approved Engineering Design, project schedule, departmental daily production check-off sheets, and other miscellaneous data.
  • Facilitated and managed the installation of a new plant fire sprinkler system that encompassed over 50,000 squared feet of factory area.  This project included new underground water line from City's water source, various water pump stations for increased water pressure, over 100,000 feet of new overhead water lines, managing multiple contractors to repair disturbed areas due to new installation.

ACOE Government Contractor (C/O Parsons in San Antonio, TX) Short Term Project

  • Control the efficient flow of services, and information between KTR, USER & USACE in order to meet customer (USER) requirements. Ensures that time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet USACE RFP and financial objectives. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Builds relationships with USER through logistics initiatives.
  • Under a staff augmentation program, I serve as a Senior Scheduler conducting contractor oversight for 8 projects ranging from 70 million to 189 million dollars.
  • Perform KTR Schedule EVM & Submittal/Transmittal reviews.
  • Assess Contractor's monthly reports in their payment requests standardized to include all my desired data which consist of Project Schedule & Project Cost.
  • Based on construction experience, observations, and schedule review, I use critical thinking and objective and subjective analyses of schedules, productivity, manpower and progress, beyond what the reports identify, to identify past, current & potential problems and solutions and to provide advice and assessments to PE's, RE's, and AE's.
  • Provide support for evaluating contractor invoices, to include evaluating contractor’s requested earned value, and design and construction progress schedules. Detailed analysis is required to monitor progress to help provide early indicator(s) of current or future issues.

Primavera P6 Scheduler

 

  • Served as project scheduler utilizing Primavera v6.1 extensively for all scheduling tasks.
  • Performed Integrated Master Schedule work for offshore fabrication involving extensive structural scheduling.
  • Performed earned value analysis (EVA or EVMS) by using past performance to predict a more accurate cost to completion
  • Identified all critical paths within a project by using float path analysis.

Primavera P3 Scheduler (Chemical Refining) Multi-Outages

 

  • Primavera Scheduler for a T/A Project building a detailed cost loaded schedule for the CELANISE IBU (Ibuprophen) Chemical Refining Plant in Bishop, TX.
  • Completed schedule included capital project, maintenance work and outside contractor data for this $25 million dollar project.
  • Project involved extensive scheduling and task coordination in structural, piping, electrical, vessels, and foundations.
  • Developed a complex Primavera 3 schedule consisting of three phase shutdowns built into one schedule.
  • Utilized MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Access extensively for tracking and documentation.
  • Additional duties ranged from coordinating with internal planners and importing all scheduled turnaround work into one Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Set up cost accounts using Primavera P3 (3.1) and their proprietary accounting software (SAP) for gathering and tracking cost. This short project was mainly to setup their project controls for a scheduled shutdown during 2007.
