Have work for 32 years in the Petrochemical industry all of these years at the Grangemouth Complex.
The vast amount of time was working for BP.
I now work for Ineos
I have been a Foreman, Plant Engineer and I am currently working as Planning Specialist.
My background is Instrument / Electrical, but my duties include Mechanical planning and all types of services.
I plan all scaffoldong, lagging, civils and various other specialist contractors, for the area I cover.
I am also responsible for procurement of the correct materials to carryout any work I am planning.
As part of my brief I also have to carry out risk assessments on each job planned
I will build a RAP {risk assessed permit for each job} no work can progress without a RAP being in place.
The planning toolto I use is Primavera
We also have a Maintenace planning tool called Maximo this is used for reporting work and recording material and labour required it also calculates costs

We are also introducing another system to monitor costs and that is call SAP.
