First Name:
John
Last Name:
Banks

John has been a planner for fifteen years and in that time has worked in manpower planning, rail, civils, construction, shipbuilding and oil & gas. During that time he has experienced working as main contractor, sub- contractor and for diverse organisations, from multi-nationals to companies with less than 150 employees. He has experience of applying many of the main software solutions to a variety of industries, including implementing 5D technology on construction projects.

John is qualified in both lean & six sigma and recognises the power of the planning department in driving institutional change. He is qualified through the CIPD to design, implement & audit training and mentoring solutions, and has spent several years running internal project & planning training. He has a fundamental belief in the importance of robust accreditation for planners at various levels of competence within various industries. Such a framework is fundamental in matching individuals to projects and seniority, and to driving competency based career progression and continuous learning within the planning community.

John is married with two daughters; the family live in a village in Aberddenshire, Scotland. In his spare time he coaches age-group rugby and fishes.
