1.     M/s GMR Airport Developers Limited –At Delhi International Airport
Duration: From Apr-2008 Till Date

The GMR Group-Delhi International Airport (P) Limited is building a world class airport in New Delhi under a Public-Private Partnership Model. The Master Plan Design capacity of the airport will be 100 Million Passengers Per Annum. The airport facilities include several Passenger Terminal Buildings, Air Traffic Control Complex, Runways, Taxiways, Aprons, Multi Level Car Parks, Cargo Terminal and other facilities.

The 1st Phase involves construction of an Integrated Passenger Terminal Building having an area of 5.2 Lacs sqm & Runway and other associated facilities. The 1st phase of works is completed and trials are underway.

I am presently working as Associate Manager in Project Controls-Planning & Scheduling Team. My basic responsibilities here include / cover significant contribution in the following key areas:
Planning & Scheduling Works

•     Creation of Fully Resource Loaded and Integrated Project Schedules / Programs using Primavera / MS Project for Terminal Building / Airside-Landside Works-Aprons, Taxiways etc..
•     Setting up and implementing Project Progress Monitoring System by defining Weightages to all work packages and its sub-activities.
•     Setting up of Project / Packages “Key Progress Indicators & Milestones”.
•     Implementing Physical Progress Monitoring System Framework.
•     Subcontractor Program Review.
•     Preparing Monthly Targets for all subcontractors as per Baseline / Revised / Recovery Schedule / timelines.
•     Subcontractor Progress Monitoring and Review.
•     Preparation and tracking Planned Vs Actual Resources Status on manpower, Plant & Machinery.
•     Preparation of Weekly / Monthly Reports and Progress “S-curves”, Preparation of Project Progress Presentations.
•     Reporting to Senior Management Officials including Group Chairman / Business Chairman / Chief Executive Officer / Lenders / Stake Holders on key Project Progress details and critical issues and mitigation plans.
•     Holding Weekly Progress Review Meetings and subsequently reporting / highlighting critical and key issues affecting progress, to the concerned departments and senior management officials.
•     Continuous interaction with Execution Team in order to achieve Baseline Targets.
•     Preparation of Revised / Recovery Works Program.
•     Preparation of Interface Coordinated Programs.
•     Tracking of delivery of long lead procured materials to ensure timely start of construction / installation of works.
•     Creating Project Benchmarking database for evaluating future airport projects.

Financial Works

•     Creation of Baseline Project Finance Milestones as per Baseline Program.
•     Preparation of Baseline Monthly Financial requirement estimates.
•     Preparation of Actual Monthly Financial Schedule as per Physical Status of Project.
•     Tracking timely release of payments to Subcontractors.
•     Preparing cost overrun reports incorporating design change impacts.
•     Creating Project Benchmarking database for evaluating future airport projects.

Contract Administration Works

•     Preparation of Project Milestones for various Work Contract Packages.
•     Preparing Planned Vs Actual status of milestones.
•     Issuing Letter of Notice of Delay(s) to various Contractors in order to take mitigation measures.
•     Time Extension Claim Review / Analysis.
•     Preparing and issuing responses to various Contractors’ Communications on project progress.

2.     M/s GMR Infrastructures Limited –At Hyderabad International Airport
Duration: From Jan 2007- Mar 2008.

The GMR Group has built a Greenfield International Airport at Hyderabad under a Public-Private Partnership Model. The design capacity of the airport is 12 Million Passengers Per Annum. The airport facilities include a Passenger Terminal Building, Air Traffic Control Complex, Runway, Taxiways, and Aprons etc. Besides these facilities, an Internatonal Business Hotel under operational brand “NOVOTEL” has also been built.

I worked as Project Engineer in Planning & Programming Team. My basic responsibilities included various assignments as illustrated above for Delhi Airport Works.


3.     M/s Totem Projects Private Limited- Apr 2006 To Jan 2007

I worked as an Assistant Manager for the Project Controls Department. The Work responsibility included significant contributions from my side in areas such as Planning & Scheduling of all Highway Projects, Monthly Planning for all projects including Manpower, Material, Machinery, Sub Contractor Management, Profit & Loss Analysis, Cash-flow Analysis, Working Capital Requirement, Manpower Requirement, Machinery Requirement, Assisting the tendering department in bidding for the prospective works, Conducting / attending weekly and monthly progress review meetings at Project Locations / Head Quarter / Client Locations.

Cross Functional Skills:

•     Helped the group in obtaining ISO-9000 certification for its airport projects.
•     Topped in Auditors Examination held by M/s TQC, Mumbai for ISO.
