I have over 30 years of Project Controls experience and over 15 years in a Manager/Lead position (Planning/Cost) and 12 years as Project Controls Manager.

My expertise extends to General management of the Project Controls function on EPC/EPCM Projects or Lump sum projects inclusive of ensuring that all project specific Project Controls systems, processes and procedures are developed, implemented and maintained on the projects. Forecasting the workload for Project Controls on the project and ensuring that it is staffed with enough competent personnel to be able to render and an effective service to the project. Being aware of major cost and planning problems and deficiencies on the project and ensuring that the necessary corrective action is implemented.   Chairing and attendance at meetings, including monthly project Cost Meeting and Project Review Meeting, Change Management and Risk Review workshops. From a Project Controls/Planning point of view I have some extensive experience Oil and Gas - Offshore / Onshore Industry. My competency in using Primavera Project Manager P3, P6 as well as other planning packages e.g.: MS Projects, Artemis is very strong. I am very computer literate using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
I have a strong multi discipline background across all the engineering disciplines and I able to communicate effectively with other discipline personnel in obtaining the necessary information required to putting a schedule, costs and packages together. My technical ability and interpretation of drawings/requirements make me a valuable asset to any project.
My strong analytical skills enable me to study extension of time claims, analyze them, produce Forensic write ups and make decisions. My Knowledge of Fidic and NEC gives me an advantage from a commercial point of view.
• Project Management functions for the full Design, Engineering and Construction of a Roaster for a Copper Refinery in the DRC. Value of Contract US$90m.
• Also responsible for the Upgrade of a Copper and Cobalt refinery to produce upwards of 150 000t of Copper and 30 000tons of Cobalt.
• Positions as Project Controls Lead and Senior Project Planner in Planning, Scheduling, Resourcing (Manpower & Machines) in both the Construction environment & Heavy Manufacturing environment. (Contract Value up to $1 Billion (US)).
• Ability to do Cost Control functions on Major Construction & Workshop projects. (Petrochemical, Offshore & Mining Industry.
• The Management of a Planning, Scheduling & Costing team serving a Petrochemical plant in both major Shutdowns & Construction in both Offshore & Onshore.
