Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we deliver the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

The company that I work for does not give out live native copies of schedules as they consider the complete schedule proprietary and don’t want competitors to have easy access to complete project files to use them as templates for their projects. Also they do not want unskill persons tampering with the logic, durations etc.

We would however like them to be able to open the schedule in P6 and view predecessors/sucessor ties and relationships activity by activity.

We are using single user licence of P6. In the single user licence, can we easily provide a "read only" file of the schedule that can be opened in P6 similar to password protecting a excel file?

David,
For single user and standalone the answer is no because if Admin is restricted it cannot be undone except if re-installed the database or create a new database.
