Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Free Float: It is the duration that early start of an activity can be delayed without delaying the early start of successor activity.

Total Float: It is the duration that start or finish of an activity can be delayed without affecting the project finish date. The Total Float can be calculated as Late Start- Early Start or Late Finish- Early Finish.

Total Float: The amount of time activity can be delayed before delaying the project finish date. Total float can be computed as Late Start - Early Start or as Late Finish - Early finish. This option can be set when runing the project scheduler.

Total float (TF) is the total float an activity can slip before it impacts the completion of the project (or the last activity in it’s logic path). Free float (FF) is the float an activity can slip before it impacts on another activity in the logic path (before it steels float from another activity). This cannot be edited and is calculated when you schedule the project.
